To support our mission of preserving and promoting traditional Balinese music, we regularly organize the following activities:
1. Traditional Music Classes
We offer hands-on learning sessions for traditional Balinese musical instruments, including:
Rindik – a soft-toned bamboo instrument, unique to Bali
Gamelan – a dynamic Balinese ensemble known for its rich and vibrant sound
Selonding – a sacred iron instrument, a cultural treasure of Bali Aga heritage
Kendang & Ceng-ceng – rhythmic instruments essential to many tabuh compositions
These classes are open to all—beginners and experienced players alike.
2. Community Practice Sessions
We host weekly open practice sessions for community members and visiting learners. These gatherings are aimed at building solidarity while improving musical technique in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
3. Performances & Artistic Collaborations
We actively participate in village ceremonies, cultural festivals, and artistic collaborations—both with local artists and international creatives—showcasing the beauty of traditional Balinese music.
4. Workshops for Tourists & International Students
Short-term and intensive programs are available for travelers and international students who wish to experience the joy of playing Balinese traditional instruments in an authentic village setting.
